| willow tree at David's aunt's house |
We stayed with my husband's wonderful aunt and were lucky enough to get a few more family documents for family history. She didn't think she had much, but we were glad for what we got. She also told us some stories about David's relatives, mainly his grandfather and great uncles. It was a treasure to hear these things. One thing I remember in particular is that David's aunt, who was very close to David's mother and got her interested in genealogy in the first place, said that David got his mother's smile.
And one more thing we got to do was visit a couple of cemeteries in Salt Lake City where we saw the gravestones of a few of my relatives. We were expecting to find 3 gravestones, but as soon as David asked me if I could see any more family members I saw one more gravestone out of the corner of my eye! We asked the cemetery proprietor about this grave stone and if any other family members with this name were buried here and he said that they didn't even have record of this person being buried here. So, we're glad we found it since there's no documentation of it.
